With no particular prerequisites for racing in motorsport Georg has achieved his results through dedication, hard work and love for the sport. His family supports him all he way to the finish line and thinks it is fantastic that he follows his dream and ambitions.
Spending all his time preparing for the next race Georg decided to pause his education a few years ago, so all his focus could be on racing. Every week Georg has a tight schedule involving physical and mental training, working with his team mate and the team and working with his partners.
Like most race drivers Georg started racing at the local track close to where his family lives. With no knowledge of racing the first years did not involve competing, but many fun hours at the track. When Georg started competing it was in the local karting series, which a few years later evolved to the German championship and WSK in Italy.
His first encounter with real cars was in the Spanish F4 championship with MP Motorsport. A season that started with a win on the circuit of SPA-Francorchamps and a podium in the following race at the circuit of Navarra. Unfortunately his engine literally exploded during a qualify at Navarra and the rest of the season became a fight for top 10, which he managed throughout the season.
His second year in F4 in the Spanish championship was raced with Campos Racing, a team with proud traditions from Adrián Campos racing in Formula in the late 1980ies.
After a season of solid and consistant racing including a podium at Jerez, Georg finished overall fifth in the championship.
Georg has now taken a big step into endurance racing with AKM Motorsport. Georg’s ability to keep a high race pace, make safe overtakes and be a team player will certainly make the way for an interesting and exciting race season in endurance.
